i think your compression is a little too severe

sounds to me like the release was way to long and the threshold to high. i&#039;m picturing something like 18db gain reduction when listening to it.

if you&#039;re gonna go crazy with compression go crazy. 

take 3 is the closest to going for a compression &quot;sound&quot;

i suggest if you&#039;re going to compress the full mix go with adding the compressor on your master whilst you&#039;re mixing. using something with an auto gain to 0db like the L1/L2/L3 will get rid of the normalizing step in audacity too</description>
